About the Maternal Health Resilience Initiative
The Maternal Health Resilience Initiative (MHRI) is an initiative of the National Health Fellows Cohort 2.0 Fellow representing Etsako East Local Government Area, Edo State, Nigeria.
MHRI strengthens maternal and newborn care through community identification, structured support, Primary Healthcare Centre linkage, digital tracking, health education and transparent monitoring.
Our Flagship Programme
The Sister to Sister Maternal Support Network connects pregnant women with trained female community volunteers, known as Sisters, who support early registration, antenatal care attendance, referral and follow-up.
Mission
To ensure that every pregnant woman in participating communities is identified early, supported consistently and connected to quality primary healthcare.
